Supporting Mandatory Vaccination for Children
The issue of mandatory vaccination has drawn diverse perceptions from stakeholders. Many people supporting argue that it is an essential public health intervention for health promotion. While vaccines are imperative, the uptake across many parts of the world has significantly reduced. This is resulting from misguided concerns about the safety of vaccines. The decline in uptake of vaccines has led to the increased emergence of infectious and controllable diseases. Most states in the United States demand that children receive immunization before getting admission in school. This is an ethical issue that requires much study and investigation to establish its credibility. I believe that vaccination for children should be mandatory. Several scholars have investigated this issue.
