Family Assessment Part 2
A thorough family assessment is essential in identifying the different factors that affect the health status of each individual in the family. The information gathered through this assessment in combination with the knowledge regarding the various aspects of health, such as physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual, helps provide and promote holistic family-centred care. In this paper, the social determinants of health and its impact on the family’s overall health and wellbeing will be discussed.

This also includes those relatives who are living with the family because their understanding and perception regarding health also influence the health patterns, self-perception, coping mechanism, etc. of the husband, wife, and the children. The awareness of the adults in the household also shapes the knowledge of the children as they grow and develop.

Screening of the central systems that may be affected significantly because of the unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle of the couple should be do...
