Communication of a shared vision is very vital. My shared vision entails the use of a smartphone application that will improve medication adherence among people with type2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is my intention that I communicate this vision with everyone in my organization for the purposes of acceptance and effective implementation of the idea. The communication of this idea would mean I embark on a thorough preparation of analyzing the organization’s history and the present in embracing technology. Afterwards, I would establish ways to articulate the shared vision, from the deductions of the correlation of the organization’s history and present technology use. Finally, I would write the shared vision itself by including all the crucial elements that would define the vision, an important process of achieving a good communication of a shared vision (Collins and Jerry, 1997).
With the vision already formulated and prior communication rehearsals, I would select a good venue, present the vision with confidence and greater fluency. I would highlight the expected benefits of using the smartphone application to improve medication adherence among people with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This will, purposefully be to convince the employees to accept the use of the application for medication to the patients. Winning the employees’ hearts to effect a new notion is essential for the successful implementation of the notion (Collins and Jerry, 1997). For instance, I will have to explain how the application will ensure the patients do not skip their medication. This is because the smartphone application will work in such a way that it will remind the patient of their medication time as well as giving feedback to the health centre of progress of the patient.
However, such an idea will obviously spark fear among the workers. Implementation of this change will mean a lot to the organization. Change grounds so much fear and worries to both employees and leaders in equal measures. As the leader, I would lay down a good administration plan to tackle the fear this innovation will likely cause, firstly, by creating a reality consciousness to the workforce.
