Data analysis refers to the process of transforming, inspecting, modeling, and cleaning data to get crucial information that facilitates the proper decision-making process. In particular, it plays a vital role in the nursing field since it enhances the application of evidence-based practice.
Descriptive statistics involve analyzing data, which helps in summarizing or describing data in a way that can be understood easily. Inferential statistics entails taking a small data sample and analyzing it so that one can make proper predictions about a larger population where the researcher drew the sample. Additionally, qualitative analysis involves the use of data that cannot be quantified to evaluate a pattern that helps one to make proper decisions.
