The American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics was proper to use focus on the word “patient” and not “client” as nurses since they treat them and offer health care services. There is a focus on improving the patients' welfare health outcome, which is the proper term to use. Sometimes patients can be ill or injured, where nurses provide patient-focused care, protect their health and safety (Foweler, 2015). The concept of a patient not only focuses on an individual but also their families and communities.
