Educators should constantly motivate Gifted English Language Learners (ELL) by employing significant schemes to identify them early. DeKalb County (n.d) explains the existence of a program that offers studies to over twenty-seven thousand students in one hundred and fifty counties who are interested in or gifted in English learning. Research shows that teachers cannot detect students talented in English learning early, causing the many gifted ELLs to become overlooked and miss many opportunities (Sanchez, 2016). Assisting these learners requires the County to be proactive and institute policies supporting their learning.
Due to the underrepresentation of gifted ELLs, Delkab County School District should develop several techniques to increase the emergence of these students and improve the active response of cultural support of English language learners in classrooms. It can achieve this objective by eliminating educator biasness, such as undermining one language in favor of another.
