The human service profession comprises helpers who are either skilled or non-skilled (Cochran & Cochran,2017). Interestingly, every individual possessing the will and qualifying criteria has space to practice. The term helper was derived from the task surrounding helping others. Helping others means aiding individuals or groups in understanding, overcoming or coping with issues. The roles of helpers vary with the individuals or clients they help and also the nature of service needed by the clients. The human service profession works closely with other professionals to successfully deliver their roles (Cochran & Cochran,2017). Some of the critical professionals assisting helpers include psychiatrists and psychologists.
