A hub is a networking tool that enables individuals to connect several computers to a single network. It is used to connect sections of the Local Area Network. The device has several ports. When a PC is introduced to one of the ports, it is copied to the other ports. Hub operates as a customer point of connection for devices in a network. On the flip side, a switch is a networking device that links several devices together on one computer network (Williams, 2021). Both devices are used to connect components in a network.
