Name (correctly) the different types and modalities for each sign you discuss. (6%). Do NOT explain what a sign is, what a specific type of sign is, or what a modality of a sign is or you lose up to 2%. Giving a wrong explanation of what a sign is or what a specific type of sign is will cause you to lose up to 10%. CAPITALIZE the signs you discuss, and their TYPE and MODALITY. The second part (5%):
Write a short story. We do not give you a definition of a story, because we assume you know what a story is. The story should be short, but you decide its length. We assume it should be no longer than one page. The story can be real or fictional. Make sure to write a story you feel comfortable reading for the TA and Professor since we will be reading your story! 5% of the final grade, upon timely submission.
