Hagberg and Guelich say that all stories must be told. Use Hagberg and Guelich’s analysis/process as the format for telling your story.
INSTRUCTIONS
When you are conducting the Peer Interview Sharing Your Spiritual Journey Assignment, you will take notes on your classmate’s answers, and then you will organize your notes to create a 500-word summary of your findings. You will submit your summary to the instructor in Canvas.
As the interviewee, you may clarify elements as they present themselves, your goal being to simply provide information to the other person to cause him or her to understand where you have been and where you are in your spiritual journey.
Use the interpersonal communication techniques listed at the bottom of this document to help present your story in a dyadic context. These are not difficult methods—you have used many of these techniques all your life.
Include the following in your discussion:
1. Introduce yourself.
2. Share where you are spiritually now.
3. Share each of the stages and when you went through them.
4. What stage are you at right now?
5. Share your experiences with hitting the wall.

My spiritual journey has been a challenging but progressive one. Throughout my early life, I was familiarized with and molded to become a religious person by my family. My parents considered systematically excelling in the diverse religious-related learning phases as a fundamental achievement, similar to my academic life. As a result, I took these teachings seriously because I wanted to make my family proud. Moreover, it was interesting to learn about diverse early contributors to the beliefs and their journeys. Such an aspect enabled me to reflect on my life based on their experiences, making me a diligent learner of religion.
My spiritual journey has been a seamless one despite a few hurdles. One of the primary indicators is my unwavering trust in God and determination to continue improving my awareness of his nature. I have made significant progress in my spiritual journey, from stage one of knowing God to stage four, associated with the inward journey (Hagberg & Guelich, 2005). The course readings in chapter six revealed that the earlier phases focused on external aspects, while this one emphasizes a person’s internal dimension. As a result, I am in a period characterized by thorough doubting, questioning, and exploration of the real contexts of my relationship with God (Hagberg & Guelich, 2005).
