Every business owner or manager has to show the company ideas, their brand and communicate with the world about the designs, by carrying out market research and establishing the philosophy of the customers’ behavior. As such, the aspect of marketing relates to the management process through which the business owners and managers are able to identify, anticipate and also satisfy the needs of the customers with an element of profitability.
Today most of the businesses do not just rely on the physical stores that they run, as most of the businesses have now adapted to changing landscape in business. Online presence is one of the most crucial pillars towards advertising and getting the products and services to a wider customer base (Henry, 2014). Marketing has also taken the same turn and its success can be predicated on a number of factors. One of the elements that predicate the success of any marketing plans with regard to online sales is the website metrics. Ideally, the number of customers that have visited the site, time they spent on the site, rate of bouncing back to the site and the inbound links are easy indicators of the success of the marketing plan. This is similar to the measure of clients coming to the stores and asking for the marketed products or services.
Most websites will have a discussion forum and this is good for the marketing department in terms of the qualitative data. The same is true with physical locations, as marketers interact with the clients at the stores or outside the stores they are bound to spark discussions over the quality of the products and derive on the acceptability compared to the competition. The amount of leads that have been generated by a marketing campaign is crucial (Henry, 2014). Every marketer looks forwards to either get a direct sale or prepare for one in the future, where they convince a client to try their products or services in the future.
