Please watch the following video:

Charity Water https://vimeo(dot)com/112727142

The video tells the story of Charity Water -- a highly successful and unique non-profit organization that chose to operate like a Silicon Valley startup rather than like a typical non-profit. The story is described by its unlikely founder, Scott Harrison, at a conference in Paris in 2012. It is a very powerful and deeply personal message built around a simple and practical idea.  [As a precaution, there are a couple of graphical images in the first 25% of the video that may be difficult for some people to watch.]  Also, please review the website at www(dot)charitywater(dot)org to understand how the donation process works/tracking and their financial information.

Charity Water has changed giving in a myriad of ways. The organization has come up with creative ways to inspire people to donate. Some of them include partnering with for-profit organizations, reaching out to people via social media, reinvention of the gala to a celebration, and most importantly getting people to give up their birthdays for charity.
