The entire process affects mankind with insufficient resources leading to living standards due to lack of basic needs. Low water quality results in low levels of oxygen, which is a very important component of air needed for survival. Lastly, the release of nitrogen into water bodies yields the production of nitrates which affect young children by altering their growth and development of the brain. Salinity is also caused by water pollutants whereby escalated factors of this aspect lead to severe droughts. These effects call for interventions and actions in water quality to improve and maintain a better environmental condition. The quality and quantity of water crises involve high spending by the affected population as they attempt to acquire the basic amount of water required for their daily activities. In such incidences the prices of clean and drinking water increase significantly, affecting the less fortunate in society. Supposing that people cannot afford to buy the water due to the poor economy, many lives could be lost. Although the authority corresponds positively, the water supplied is not enough for all needs including livestock. Such conditions lead to the death of many animals resulting in a decline in economic activities.
