Every day in our lives, we make thousands of decisions. While there are some that can easily be determined, difficult ones can be made through the help of software that uses algorithms to make the decision making process much easier. In the case presented, the decision as to whether letting Aunt Virginia stay with them or not, can be made more efficiently with the help of pieces of software such as a Decision Support System (DSS) due to its flexibility and comprehensiveness or even by just following its routines.
