At the start of 2020, the world had to adjust and become more self-aware than ever because of the health crisis that is affecting all parts of the world. Because of this crisis, a lot of industry has gone through business adjustments which cost some shutting down or losing some branches. However, despite the effect and threat of the pandemic, the world has to run and live with the crisis. The affected industries are now running while following the health protocols and new normal rules and regulations to deliver the services they offer (Chakraborty, I., & Maity, P., 2020).
One industry that has been greatly affected by the pandemic is the tourism industry. Anywhere in the world, tourism has probably taken the heaviest toll along with other entertainment-related industries. Because of the call for people to stay at home to minimize the spread of the virus, travel and vacation plans had to be postponed and not even rescheduled. With no travelers visiting tourist places or famous restaurants, the tourism industry will not thrive on its own (Sigala, M., 2020).
