Recently, modern technology has enabled people to work out of the office, called telecommuting. The rate of telecommuting has substantially skyrocketed, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. These jobs are done outside the physical office as teleworkers typically require an internet connection. However, teleworkers encounter unique challenges, such as inevitable distractions, making life as a teleworker difficult. Therefore, to become a successful teleworker, there are various behaviors one needs to embrace in their work. Passion and agility, independence, strong communication skills, collaboration, and resourcefulness are notable behaviors of a successful teleworker.
Successful telecommuters are agile, self-motivated, and independent. Teleworkers are passionate individuals who can push themselves up and be inspired since they understand and go after their aspirations. Successful teleworkers are flexible in when, where, and how they carry out activities, avoiding letting the little issues reach them (Expert Panel, 2020).
