Booking has all the components of success rolled into one. All these components are what made it Europe's top booking agency for travelers. The first component is the idea. The idea conceived by the company's founder, Geert-Jan Bruinsma, came at the right time. Identifying the opportunity presented by the internet, the young graduate maximized on a common service by turning it digital. The second component is the company's experimentation. Experimentation is mentioned several times in the case study. For a startup, experimentation is important. It helps a company identify what works best for its customers. As seen in Booking's case, this has helped it severally over the years. Finally, the third component is adaptation.
