George Stein is a college student who intends to work harder to have his life desires attained. The need to have a great car and wed his long-term girlfriend has compelled him to take menial jobs for the last four summers hoping to save enough to have his wishes come true. This particular summer provided an opportunity for Stein to work in Eastern Diary where the pay was double the minimum wage as the firm was unionized (Cousins & Benitz, 1997). The firm specialized in the production of milkshake and ice cream mix. The management has established a routine with employees alternating between day and night shifts. The management’s concern was that the production goals of the night were met and the equipment cleaned. Nothing else mattered. However, to Stein, the presence of maggots was a primary cause for concern that he found himself in a dilemma on how to handle the situation effectively (Cousins & Benitz, 1997). Since this is all about ethics, the subsequent discussion offers the best procedures to ensure a win-win situation for every stakeholder.
