Consider the following question (and take notes) while you read the chapter:
• What are the four key skills of the manager as politician?
2. Read Chapter 10: The Manager as Politician (pp. 205–221) in:
Bolman, L. G., & Deal, T. E. (2013). Reframing organizations: Artistry, choice, and leadership. San Francisco: Jossey-Bass.
Write a 2- to 3-page paper (excluding title page and reference list) that includes the following components:
A. Introduction
B. Discuss the assumptions of the political perspective.

Thus, managers must have political skills that enable them to navigate the political terrain in the organization. Thus, power is important to influence the allocation of scarce resources.
