Case Study on Jose and Findings
Introduction
Many children in schools are classified as having a specific learning disability, an ingredient that guarantees a teacher to find students with learning disorders in a classroom. For these students; the likes of Jose to be successful, several factors have to be considered. A detailed focus on their individual achievements, individual progress, and individual learning should be given priority. Recent researches findings clearly give some hope that these children may be taught. However, specific strategies that apply to specific learning disabilities should be deployed for positive results. It takes patience commitment and involvement to see the yields of such strategies.
Difficulties in Identifying Children with Learning Disabilities and the Use of Generic Labels
Learning Disability as defined by (Harwel &Jackson 2011) is a heterogeneous turmoil of alleged neurological origin that is manifested differently and to various degrees at some stage in the life span of a child. The sole purpose of identifying children with learning disabilities is to establish developmental problems that place children at risk. Development of strong language command enables a child to be rooted in a complex cognitive process that includes memory, attention, visual perception and processing and executive function (Harwel &Jackson 2011). For other such students, I would recommend an adjustment in curriculum and instructions to ensure that proficiency in language and literacy skill is developed. Another remedy is introducing a well structured multisensory skill-based instruction that individualizes instructions for specific needs.
Factors that may cause Learning Disabilities in children
The actual cause of the learning disability is not certain yet. However practitioners perceive that this disorder may be caused by teratogenic and he...
