The Use of Newer Forms of Media
1.Think about how you use different types of media in your everyday life. What needs are you seeking to gratify when you use them? Are these needs sufficiently gratified by the use of these media? Why or why not?
2.This week’s readings identify a range of needs that are gratified by the use of media. Can you think of additional needs that the use of newer forms of media, like TikTok for example, might gratify or do the typologies we read about this week seem to suffice?
