Efforts for Decreasing Tourism: Trip to Africa
Imagine you are a communication practitioner who works for Intrepid Travel, which is facing the problem of decreasing tourism. You are encouraging people to buy different vacation packages. You will develop a message for one of the following trip options:
OPTION 1: An adventure trip to Nepal - 10 days, cost: $5500 US
OPTION 2: A luxurious Asian cruise - visiting places like Thailand, Vietnam, & Indonesia - 21 days, cost: $11,000 US
OPTION 3: A South American tour - by bus - you get to see Machu Picchu - 5 days, cost: $2950 US
OPTION 4: African cultural excursion - with optional safari - 4 or more days cost: $3500+ US
OPTION 5: Bahamas beach adventure - 3 days, cost $1295 US

Your target audience will be based on your own VALS profile. For example, if your primary VALS profile was Believer, you will develop your marketing plan for a target audience of Believers.
(For this post, assume that you are working in the American marketplace)
As you develop your message and delivery channel, assume that the only person making the decision is your target audience segment member. For example, if that person is married with kids, that person would be the sole decision maker who is not influenced by her husband or wife and kids.
Be sure to include some description, or example, of the visuals you would include with your campaign, and ground your justification in the VALS profiles.
Post your brief (one-paragraph) plan for marketing the trip option to a target audience. Click on Create Thread to open a space for your post and title your post “[YOUR NAME]/Marketing Trip Option.” Then, enter your plan. Be sure to include one specific message that you would use to reach your target audience.
