Porsche, a German automobile brand owned by Volkswagen Group, headquartered in Stuttgart, was founded by Ferdinand Porsche in 1948. As for Porsche's "Emission Gate" scandal, it can be traced back to September 2015, when Volkswagen Group was found to have used software to adjust the working state of its diesel engines, so that the nitrogen oxide emissions could meet the standard under the exhaust gas testing state, so as to cover up the fact that the emissions of the engines exceeded the standard significantly under the normal driving state. In November of the same year, the United States issued a statement for violating the Clean Air Act, Volkswagen's Porsche 3.0T diesel engine is suspected of installing cheating software, and this became the beginning of Porsche's frequent scandals.

Volkswagen Group, a German automaker and Porsche manufacturer, failed to comply with its obligations to implement legal provisions on polluting gas emissions. The Volkswagen Porsche 3.0 T engine had software that allowed Porsche to mislead emissions testing. Porsche violated the US Clean Air Act and was sanctioned for this. The scandal involved manipulations of emissions data for Porsche models with some diesel and gas engines failing to meet emission requirements. Data was manipulated to show better emissions test results. This includes the 911s and Panameras manufactured in the years 2008 to 2013 and gas-powered Porsche vehicles made before 2017 for the European market . Stakeholder analysis
The public, including customers and the governments, are external stakeholders who were lied to and led them to believe the company followed emission standards. Customers who bought the cars for their fuel efficiency and low emissions are likely more environmentally conscious. The German and U.S. governments and the EU had adopted regulations and standards on fuel emissions to limit air pollution. The German government fined Porsche almost $ 600 million as a result of the emission test cheating scandal where the company flouted German emission laws and was negligent. Furthermore, the government ordered Porsche to pay €47.2 million in damages to the shareholders when there are breaches of disclosure and a fall in the share value. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) investigated the company’s emission tests and uncovered fraud.
