The variation of the prices across the countries is extensively reasonable, but at some point, it raises various questions. In my opinion, I feel very willing and comfortable in purchasing foodstuffs and drugs in the United States since it is guided by the FDA and the labor laws (Steenburgh, 2017). These agencies are responsible for regulating the materials incorporated into a certain product, and they also handle them to check its consuming abilities. For instance, if I decide to purchase an item like leggings to be shipped directly from China at the cost of $5, It does not guarantee the structure of the materials, thus making a skeptical mindset about its ability to rip easily. Though the price might be lower, the product's formality might be an issue, especially with the distance becoming a significant barrier. That is when the issue of trustworthiness comes in.
Moreover, in some countries, the labor cost is very cheap in that the process of manufacturing the products is very cheap due to less cost of production, while in some places, the labor price is high; thus, the same effect is offset to the price of the product. Furthermore, the access to its materials might be very cheap than in other areas, thus leading to variation in the production cost (Steenburgh, 2017). Adjusting the prices will ensure that there is no exploitation of the customers' resources, with the company benefitting many profits, which is unfair. There is a need for a ratio between the profit margin and the production cost to ensure fair market prices.
