Early Use of String
The Paleolithic Era is when humans are mainly hunters and gatherers who utilize stones as the main component of their hunting and gathering materials. The stone tools have irregular shapes and unfurnished ends, and the humans solely rely on the sharpness of the edges. However, humans of this period discovered the use of strings, even before the discovery of fibers, such that they surprisingly used materials from the wild and created a “skirt” (Barber, 1994).
