Photography and black life, in summary, is all about representation in images. According to the article, black people used the camera to make a visual representation of their predicaments at the time. The images could depict the representation by the white people. Photographs were used to send a certain meaning, express an opinion, treasure moments, or pay homage to loved ones. It is observed that as they have no words different people could have different opinion or ideas on the same exact picture.
