The Peace Negotiations with Germany
Abstract
The peace negotiations with Germany were a “Treaty of Versailles that occurred on June 28, 1919. The German government was forced to sign the treaty as part of Paris Peace Conference in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. The negotiations occurred after five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand that gave rise to the First World War. The book illustrates the negotiators at the conference that included David Lloyd George of Britain, George Clemenceau of France, Vittorio Orland of Italy and Woodrow Wilson of USA. After the conference, Germany was given three-week ultimatum to comply and sign the treaty. However, Germany complained since they were never consulted on the negotiation terms coupled with their absence during the negotiation processes.
