Using Phylogenetically Based Comparative Methods in Anthropology
This paper was written to provide answers on the questions about evolutions of the organic and entails, as among its tools, analyze the distribution of characters across the individual species. In the study the hypothesis that was tested is that animals that live in patchy lit forests usually attain low visibility as they evolve the correlation patens that are broken, (Mulder, 2001).
The concludes that many major ideas in anthropology fields discipline, among them that states evolve under circumstances of geographical circumscription or that matrilocality is associated with warfare are all based on the correlations, a times impressionistic and at other times, calculated among many environmental and institutional features. It adds that as evolutionary studies of behavior shines in anthropology, proper comparative approaches to study adaptation become more important, (Mulder, 2001).
The results show that it is immature even in regionally localized studies to make assumption that the signature of history is weaker than the strength of present selection pressure at least with further focused empirical studies. Also only with an independently derived understanding the way characters are transmitted, (Mulder, 2001).
The questions asked are; what is the use of comparing things for hypothesis that regard to adaptive value of bi-pedality if never lived at same times and population, and the situation that will exist when dealing with socio-cultural diversity.
