Newark Liberty international has been said to have most delays in flights in the nation. The causes of these have been said to be; weather, congested airspace over Washington, D.C. and scheduling. This might be true. Strategies must be laid down to curb against these. From gathered information the flights that are delayed most are the evening flights. Since the main delays are felt in the evenings, the main cause of the delays then results from the earlier flights (John, 2011).
The problem of congestion at the airstrip can be addressed by the company first ensuring that it has enough staff to run the organization especially the pilots and mechanics to ensure air planes are serviced on time and pilots are always there. The number of airplanes at the airport can be reduced by not limiting the flights to time. This will ensure a continuous landing and taking off at the airport (John, 2011). The air planes should be scheduled to take a certain amount of time at the airport and should take off to the next landing whether with or without passengers. This will also call for creation of more air lines, which will highly assist in terms of time wastage and also one will be assured of the availability of the plane.
The design of the airport should also be checked to ensure that specific airplanes station at a particular strategic place, so that there is no problem in finding the right plane. Planes be parked in terms of sizes to ensure smooth landing and taking off. Weather may not be the main issue, but since it is beyond our human control, it must carefully be planned for. This can be achieved by; setting up reliable meteorological operations to ensure that information is delivered on time (John, 2011).
