My interest in fashion management as a fashion designer started at a very young age, and I have always been fascinated by this dynamic and ever-changing industry. My career aspirations as a fashion designer are to establish an internationally recognized fashion brand synonymous with quality and innovation. My vision is to create timeless, fashionable, comfortable, and affordable pieces. I want to positively impact the fashion industry and leave a lasting legacy as a fashion designer. This portfolio provides an overview of my professional interests, skills, and career aspirations related to the fashion industry. It will also provide a basis for further research into the topic and help me to be better informed when making decisions about my career aspirations. 2.1 My Personal Reflective Statement
I have been passionate about fashion since I was a child, and my interest in fashion has only grown deeper as I've gotten older. I have worked hard to turn my passion into a career by developing my skills and knowledge - learning everything I can about fashion design, pattern-making, textiles, and other related topics. I have also taken classes in art and design to further my skills and gain a better understanding of the industry. I have even begun to explore the business aspect of fashion, learning about the marketing and retail side of the industry. This has given me a well-rounded view of the fashion industry, allowing me to become a better designer and businessperson. So, I was ecstatic when the opportunity for a fashion designer presented itself in an online job posting (see Appendix i).
My past experiences have taught me the value of hard work and dedication and the importance of networking and marketing in the fashion industry. As I grew up, my dreams of becoming a fashion designer only intensified. I researched fashion trends and styles and practiced making my designs. Although I didn't have formal training, I worked hard to learn everything I could about fashion design. I have explored different aspects of the industry, such as design, production, and marketing, to understand better the process of creating and selling a product. My knowledge and understanding of the industry have allowed me to develop a strong sense of style and an eye for detail. My past aspirations have driven me to strive for excellence in my craft. I have developed a strong sense of self-confidence and creativity that have allowed me to take risks and explore new possibilities without fear of failure.
As an aspiring fashion designer, I am determined to impa...
