Throughout history, music composers have developed different styles that can be categorized periodically by key features and applications in musical work. A popular style that originated from the classical period is romantic music. The technique was expressive, focusing on provoking emotion and passion- mainly encompassing literary, philosophical, emotional, and artistic themes. Romantic music style can be recognized for its large orchestras, slight speeding, slowing down, modulations, and adventurous harmonies that sparked different listeners' interests. In researching and analyzing romantic music styles, different facets can be identified. For this study, the scope or defining aspects include musical eras, structures, classic and romantic periods, prominent composers, instruments used, application, performance, and characteristics of romantic music style.
