According to the study, the range of hesitance captured from the studies analyzed was between 4.3 to 72%, with most of the workers pegging their reasons on potential side effects, efficacy, and vaccine safety. The researchers conclude that the high prevalence of COVID-19 hesitance among health workers calls for consideration of mandates for healthcare workers as well as educational and communication approaches towards increasing sensitization to improve vaccination uptake. The author shares the vaccination myths from a Filipino perspective. Similarly, strategic measures to maximize higher vaccination rates among Filipinos are also explained.
