Being an aspiring Science Health Care Quality Nursing student from Lakehead University, I would wish to develop my career by pursuing a master program on Science Health Care Quality at Queens University. My interest at Queens University is to specialize in linking theory and practice in quality, risk, and safety in healthcare.
I am a registered nurse, with extensive management experience. I was born in Thunder Bay, the second most populous city in North Ontario. I am married with two children; I do enjoy outdoor activities and also have a passion for quality. My family is my main source of inspiration, and I enjoy spending my free time with them.
I am a result-driven and dedicated professional nurse with extensive and diverse experience in clinical management and administrative positions. My track record proves my leadership capabilities in areas of improving processes, cutting costs and ensuring optimum patient care. Because of my leadership capabilities, I have been twice selected to step up to the Director role at Peterborough Regional Health Centre as from March 2006 to September 2013 and from September 2012 to June 2014. I served in different capacities as the director of medicine on critical care and as the manager of surgical inpatients.
I have also held other positions in different institutions, as the interim director of surgery at Peterborough Regional Health Centre from June 2010-June 2011 and nurse manager OBS, Surgery, at Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, from March 2003-March 2006. I have also served as the di...
