Personal Statement for Admission
In today’s life, data science is a critical and applicable concept in almost every sector; this creates a need for skill acquisition in a specific area. Therefore, I am writing to echo my deep concern about pursuing a data science master’s program at Albany. Various reasons explain my suitability and confidence to enroll in the program at the prestigious institution. These are the past related studies and experiences, coupled with the personal desire for data and technological advancement. The likelihood of data stimulating desirable change around the planet is high and inevitable, which is increasingly exciting. These possible changes fascinated me and complemented my passion for data and the science behind it. Enrolling in an undergraduate program introduced me to significant concepts related to machine learning and data mining. These phenomena are extensive and require more learning to cover more aspects and, most importantly, expand relevant knowledge across the specific field. So far, I have successfully concluded data mining and machine learning courses. These offered me a better foundation within data visualization and analysis principles. Again, I gained practical experience with machine learning algorithms that, in turn, would help in solving problems from real-life perspectives.
