The Book of Luke seems to change from that of Mark in some contexts. In Mark, Jesus is portrayed as a servant who can only be saved by Elijah. This is why after someone gave Jesus a sponge of sour wine to drink, they said, "Let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down." However, in Luke, Jesus is showcased as God's ideal man who offers salvation to humanity. This is evidenced by the centurion's proof of His innocence. Besides, when Jesus died, the Book of Luke does not explain the time in relation to the curtain's tearing, but this is evident in the Book of Mark (Coogan et al., 2010).
