There is room for a diplomatic approach, and its outcome will determine the next course of action, including military action (Durieux, 2017). Consequently, the terrorist group has been showing the intent of attacking the US and its allies in the Pegasus region, thereby creating a threat to US vital national security interests as well as those of its western and regional partners; this situation must be contained by locating the weapons and neutralizing any operations of the terrorist group in the region by use of joint military forces when deterrence fails. There is a need to secure the nuclear reactor being controlled by the elite Special Forces responsible for transferring WMD to the terrorist group and ensure control by UN officials.

Availability of Weapons of Mass Destruction
The Caprica elite special forces have acquired a Zelzal -4 short-range ballistic missile capable of delivering a small payload over a short distance of about 350- 500 km. The payload comprises radiological warheads, biological, chemical, and explosives, which are considered to be mass destruction and thus disastrous to the US and its allies in the Pegasus region.
Impact
The joint planning department should indulge intensely in the complex consequences related to the involvement of these weapons by the enemy during the operation. There is a need to prioritize the protection of joint forces and the establishment of allied forces. Further, the planning department should focus on determining whether the enemy will or will not use weapons of mass destruction.
The behavior of the enemy
Diplomatic solutions may fail as the Caprica Thunder terrorist group has openly acknowledged the intention to employ such weaponry on the US and its allies in the Pagause Region, thus posing threats to the US, western and regional allies' security interests.
