Understanding the importance of pharmacological interactions in treating certain psychological illnesses is essential for any healthcare professional. It allows him to understand better how to plan the proper treatment and medication while considering various factors such as the patient's genetic, cultural, and other related factors. In line with this, the following sections will focus on a reflection of the author’s experience and learning regarding drug-to-drug interactions and other considerations that every healthcare professional should take into consideration. All in all, the author believes that knowing how to manage the patient’s medications is essential for providing holistic treatment. 
Reflection
           One of the things that the author has learned was requisite for a holistic understanding and appreciation of providing treatment. Accordingly, the following are his reflection on different learning objectives. 
Fundamentals of Neurotransmission
           One of the things that the author has learned is the intricacies of neurotransmission relative to the different psychological illnesses that every nurse professional should know. One typical example discussed during the course was the possibility of dopamine dysfunction and imbalance, which may lead to depression, especially during prolonged periods (Yagishita, 2020). While there are a lot of other concepts and principles that were discussed in line with this topic, what was clear is that knowing the different neurotransmitters, dysfunctions, and mechanisms of actions of various drugs is essential for treatment. 
Drugs and Mechanisms of Action
           One of the things that the author found to be examples of various drugs and their mechanisms of action. The lessons taken about this part helped supplement the student’s prior knowledge about the common chemicals in the brain and the illnesses caused by these dysfunctions. For example, one of the main learnings that the author had was that psychotropic drugs have five main categories, namely mood stabilizers, stimulants, antipsychotics, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety medications (Hasnain & Vieweg, 2013).
