Company Overview
Alibaba Group Holding Limited, or simply Alibaba, is a holding corporation that was incorporated in the year 1999. It is the largest online commerce company worldwide and was founded by eighteen individuals led by Jack Ma. They started it for the purpose of championing small enterprises, believing that the Internet would make the playing field level by allowing small businesses to leverage technology and innovation in growing and competing more effectively in both the international and domestic economies (Alibaba Group Holding Limited, 2017).
This firm has 3 major sites, which are Alibaba.com, Tmall, and Taobao. These sites host millions of businesses and merchants, and have hundreds of millions of users.
