Participating in the 49th Annual MSVU Business and Tourism Learners and Leaders Conference has been a transformative experience, offering a unique opportunity to engage with experienced professionals, entrepreneurs, and human resource experts. The MSVU conference's primary motivation was its promise of a diverse and immersive experience. The event boasted a lineup of experienced professionals, successful entrepreneurs, and human resource experts, offering a comprehensive view of the business and tourism industries. Attending keynote speeches, engaging in discussions with industry professionals, and participating in networking sessions were integral components of the conference. Hence, this reflective analysis aims to unfold the rich tapestry of insights acquired throughout the activities.

However, the speaker posits an alternative perspective. Rather than constricting creative output to align with the preferences of a particular demographic, the speaker advocates for a more expansive approach. Within the context of songwriting, this approach implies that the songwriter should not confine their creativity to accommodate the tastes of a limited audience. Instead, they should explore themes, emotions, and experiences possessing universal appeal, capable of resonating with a broad spectrum of listeners. The objective is to produce music transcending demographic confines and speaking to the shared human experience.
Furthermore, the speaker underscores the significance of the creative process itself. The assertion that “the process is the best part of the journey" (MSVUBusiTour, 2023a) underscores the intrinsic value of the creative journey over the outcome. This perspective encourages the songwriter to concentrate on the joy and fulfillment of creation rather than exclusively fixating on the ultimate product or the reception from a specified audience (MSVUBusiTour, 2023a).
