Financial aid is the monetary support given by nonprofit and private organizations to students to cover for their education (Gobel, 1). The financial assistance covers various educational expenses such as tuition fees, books, and supplies, transport, and room on board. There are various forms of financial aid. They include scholarships, loans, grants, work-study jobs, and aid for international study. These forms of financial aid differ from each other and contain different terms and conditions (Gobel, 2). Some of these financial aids are payable while others are free. For example, grants are awarded to needy students and are not repaid.
