The aim is to understand the origin of different perceptions about infinity as well as the impact of infinity. The concept of infinity is interpreted and understood in diverse ways across the world. I the field of mathematics, infinity is portrayed as the largest number, which is imaginary. On the other hand, philosophers and theologians consider Infinity as a concept to explain or represent God and eternity. There are also reports through history where certain groups of people considered numbers greater than three to be uncountable, and therefore, infinity. Over they years, the different perceptions of infinity were first studied by Greeks. It was essential to understand the essence of the concept on both culture and sociology. Through the paper, the aim is to understand the different understandings of infinity, as well as explain its impact of social life and cultural values of people.

One of the most important periods in the study of infinity in the Ancient Greek society is the 17th century. There were many leaders who contributed heavily to the idea of studying infinity.
