The concept of race has always emerged with negative connotations. It often denotes bias, prejudice, and discrimination. For instance, it can play a critical role in portraying a child as a deviant. In most instances, racial minorities such as black Americans are at an increased risk of being label as criminals. Children are not spared either, as reflected by a case of a 4-year-old boy who said he wants to own a gun when he is an adult, which most people interpreted to means that he was a socially deviant child, yet his ambition involved being a policeman.
