The CIA and Vietnam
The world has witnessed the assassination of four sitting presidents of the United States. The last one was the death of President John F. Kennedy. On November 22, 1963, an unfortunate occasion occurred when he  was assassinated, leaving everyone in shock, not just in the United States but globally. Numerous probes have been conducted to identify the assassin. Although the Warren Commission deemed Lee Harvey Oswald responsible for President Kennedy's demise based on its official probe,  various alternative factors and motives, including political reasons and mafia involvement, have emerged to elucidate the circumstances surrounding JFK's passing. The CIA's involvement in the war included secret  operations aimed at hindering communist growth. The foreign policy approach of JFK contributed to tension between the President and the CIA, which has generated talk of conspiracy and speculation regarding JFK's demise.
To begin with, JFK's presidency was  marred by several debated choices. He encountered diverse reactions from divergent regions,  comprising enthusiastic backing and vigorous resistance. The President faced opposition from those who felt he was not acting adequately to prevent the  growth of communism, with the Cuban Missile Crisis serving as a particular point of contention. People thought he was not doing enough to  halt the spread of communism. Kennedy's proposals encountered significant opposition from white supremacists and segregationists who  staunchly opposed any notion of equality and integration among races. These political differences could have driven the plot for assassination.
Other sources cite that Mafia  had a hand in the President's assassination. The attorney general's opposition to organized crime  ignited resentment toward the Kennedy dynasty. The assassin's motives were rooted  in this reason. The Mafia believed the Kennedys posed a risk to their unlawful  endeavors due to their extensive engagement in criminal operations. ‍
CIA Pacification Strategy
The CIA has efficient techniques and tactics to thrive in foreign lands. For instance, it is known for using civilian and military assistance programs to gain access and get rooted in foreign countries (Bamford 406). The CIA gave monetary, military, and practical help to the South  Vietnamese government to assemble and prepare nearby protective powers, known as Regional and Popular Forces. The assigned forces aimed to safeguard settlements and towns against Viet Cong  assaults while also winning the goodwill of the local people. ‌
The CIA also employed the strategic hamlet program, providing fortified hamlets as a haven  for rural residents during the Viet Cong conflict. CIA agents and U.S. military advisors partnered  to plan and deploy these hamlets. Furthermore, the CIA also utilizes its resources to aid in intelligence operations. It was vital in monitoring Viet  Cong actions and supplying actionable data to the South Vietnamese military (Lane 120). ‌In addition, the CIA implemented mental operations to  capture the affection of the Vietnamese people. Propaganda was...
