The Golden Wall
The artwork "The Golden Wall" (1961) by Hans Hofmann is both Modern and postmodern, considering that the Cubist and Fauve artists were influential teachers in the United States and Germany. The picture is frustrated and based on the linear perspective introduced the "push and pull" theory to create a dynamic sense in painting. In this regard, the painting in this picture appears to recede and advance simultaneously. For instance, the rectangles in The Golden Wall appear to vary in color and size that direct gaze across the entire picture.
