The emergence of online education has helped many long-distance learners. However, with COVID-19, online education has become the only option for learners worldwide. Even before COVID-19, online education was taking hold in many institutions of higher learning. Students did not have to attend classes physically. Instead, they could attend through virtual programs that have been made possible by advances in technology. For students taking two or more courses at once, online learning has also helped them organize their studies and navigate their school life. This essay seeks to explore the topic of online education and discuss some of its benefits.
Online education is a phenomenon that emerged with advances in computer technology. In the present day, online education is spread out to almost every country in the world. Contemporary research suggests that online education could be the future of learning (Maheshkar, 2016). Society today is described in part by its obsession with online technology. It is not surprising to find a two-year-old holding an iPad and playing their favorite game. At the same time, adults are often occupied with their smartphones and other digital devices. People's inclination toward technological devices is something that will soon be part of our mortal operation.
As the use of technological devices is encouraged, so should their use in advancing our knowledge.
