POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
Community-focused problems will center around issues or needs that you may have noticed in your own community or heard about in other communities. These would focus on problems of daily life that impact a multitude of people in a community, a neighborhood, or even a city.
Examples of community problems could include a lack of stores that sell fresh fruits and vegetables, the need for more public parks, difficult relations with the local police, few options for after-school programs, lack of access to public Wi-Fi, lack of wheelchair-accessible sidewalks, or persistent littering throughout the neighborhood.
It needs to be specific—focused on a particular problem rather than a broad, general category. For example, instead of selecting “problems with technology” as your topic, think about one specific problem with technology, like a lack of internet access in your rural community.
It needs to be narrow enough that you can come up with a practical solution to address the issue. For example, it would be difficult to create a plan to solve a problem across the entire country, but if you focus on addressing the problem in your community, you can come up with a more realistic proposal. By keeping your focus on your community, you will be able to select a more specific problem to discuss.
It needs to be debatable—something that people hold a lot of different views on. You’re not just informing people with factual information about a topic in this course; you’re trying to persuade them to agree to the solution that you will propose. So you need to select a problem that could have a variety of different solutions.

People of the community face various struggles every day of their lives. These challenges are either small or large in scale, depending on the people's perspective. Although these struggles can present hardships and even negative influences, they could also provide wonderful growth opportunities. One community problem that should be addressed would have a flexible working schedule that extends great results.
Workplace Flexible Scheduling
The confusion between these words is due to the various interpretations of it. According to Holman (2013), this refers to the ability of the employees to choose their working schedule with set standards freely, and at the same time, lets them have almost complete control of their work hours. On the other hand, Lambert (2008) defined this idea negatively; He/She identified it as how employees are assigned to a schedule that is not bound to the standard work hours. This implies that employees can be called and uncalled with no secured time, which means that when they are asked to work late or unpredicted, they do not have the right to decline. While the idea that this paper pursues is the explanation of Holman (2013) where he implies that people can have their specific schedule written for them following their will. The importance of this topic greatly helps today's generation of workers since the flexibility of working online and offline is greatly increasing.
One great influence of this idea is that it positively impacts workers when they have flexible schedules. This idea is supported by Khan, R. et al. (2011). They researched the effects of flexible scheduling regarding stress and work-family conflict of employees of various organizations in Islamabad and found positive impacts. They also provided that workers tend to quit their jobs three times due to stress and family conflict than workers who do not pose such problems. Another study has also supported the idea that flexible scheduling results in an increase in the well-being of the workers. They discussed the benefits: (1) improved well-being and health, (2) reduced staff concerns, and (3) increased satisfaction of jobs, and its only limitation, such as self-scheduling, from the perspective of nurses. This is because nurses often provide care more than the specific hours they are assigned to, which causes stress and dissatisfaction (Drouin & Potter, 2005). On the other hand, due to the crossing of boundaries as workers bring home their assigned job tasks or are overloaded, another study focused on the intersection of schedules for flexible working and the overall welfare of the workers. As they surveyed the workforce of an Australian University, their results indicated that when workers implement such schedules, their workload does not overload, and their stress also decreases (Hayman, 2010).
