How to Solve Covid-19 and Its Challenges in the Future

Research Paper Instructions:

Please write a research paper following the guidelines and fulfill all requirements.
Here are the instructions: the PowerPoint and photos are more clear in the files attached.
You will organize the paper into sections with the following subtitles:
Public Health Problem
How to Solve the Problem
Challenges in the Future
Those sections need to include the following information.
Public Health Problem
In which you describe the problem and why it is a public health problem
Where, when, and how did this happen?
This will be different for each problem, as some are centuries old and some are specifically recent. Some are the result of recent human industry, and others are viral mutations. Explain accordingly.
What are the biological and/or psychological ways this harms human health?
When and why did this problem become an issue of concern for public health?
Be specific about when and where people focused on public health got involved.
How to Solve the Public Health Problem
In which you describe public health interventions or policies used to solve the problem.
Include two past attempts to solve the problem, explaining why they are not done anymore or done differently.
Include two recent methods, explaining why they are more effective (or less, as the case may be).
Challenges in the Future: What are the challenges of preventing the problem from recurring or getting worse?
In which you explain the key challenges in preventing the problem from reoccurring or getting worse
Provide two ways to prevent the recurrence or worsening of the problem, explaining the challenges to implementing these solutions.
Conclude by providing your opinion on how to meet these challenges and prevent this problem in the future, giving two examples.

COVID-19
COVID-19 is the latest pandemic to hit the world, and despite great strides on the medical front, it has caused untold devastation. According to Fauci et al. (2020), COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus related to the virus that leads to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). As such, it affects the respiratory system of humans. Some of the ways in which the disease manifests itself are through fever, dry coughs, and breathing difficulties. The virus has an incubation period of 14 days and is known to cause death within a few days since onset if not attended to. It affects people of all ages but hits the elderly much harder. As Fauci et al. (2020) note, the mortality rate of COVID-19 is very pronounced in people with other underlying medical complications such as diabetes and cancer. The disease is transmitted through contact with the infected or contaminated surfaces, an element that makes it spread at an incredible rate. It has not yet been established how the first human contracted the virus, but it is believed to have originated from Wuhan, China. The first case was reported in late 2019, but the presence of the virus was fully felt in 2020 when people contracted it in thousands (Fauci et al., 2020). In essence, COVID-19 has been a major health problem, and understanding it is essential to preventing the occurrence of similar problems in the future.
COVID-19 has caused several biological and psychological effects that have had far-reaching implications on human health. To begin with, the disease is marked by severe fever and breathing complications, which make patients quite uncomfortable. It incapacitates sufferers within a very short time. It has also caused the escalation of underlying illnesses such as diabetes. Consequently, this has caused deaths that would otherwise not have occurred. In some instances, the existence of the disease has made it difficult for sufferers of other diseases to access treatment readily. This is because many hospitals have been flooded with COVID-19 patients to the point of overwhelming medical staff. The disease has also been the cause of psychological distress, mostly because people are being forced into isolation (Wiebers & Feigin, 2020). In addition, being saddled with an uncertain future as well as the deaths of loved ones has had serious psychological effects on many people. The unexpected loss of jobs among many people has also had psychological effects which are made manifest through headaches and seizures, among other symptoms (Wiebers & Feigin, 2020). In some severe instances, some people have committed suicide after either losing jobs or their loved ones.
COVID-19 became an issue of health concern in early 2020 when it began spreading at an alarming rate all around the world. Within a very short time, millions of people had contracted the dreaded virus chiefly due to its nature of being a contact disease. According to Ceylan (2020), as of April 2020, 1.9 million cases had been confirmed globally. During the same period, 12,000 deaths were reported. This was barely four months after the first case was detected, which clearly showed how dire the situation was. It was clear that the diseas...
