Race and national origin have played significant roles in the development of the United States (US) immigration law and policy. Some people from different countries and racial backgrounds are denied entry into the US. Others who get a chance to enter the country legally are denied citizenship rights since they do not meet all the immigration requirements.
In my perspective, law and policymakers are motivated to use national origin and race to control the American population and the available resources. That is why the immigration policy is strict on who should get citizenship or not. For example, in the “United States v.
