Proposal for a New Public-History App

Research Paper Instructions:

Much of this course has focused on learning about and evaluating the work of public historians. For this final project, you are invited to become a public historian. Your aim will be to develop and present a proposal for a new public-history project that piques the interest of other public historians—your classmates. The choice of what to propose is yours; it can be an exhibition, a preservation initiative, a work of digital history, an oral history project, a historical tour, a public-history app, a series of historical markers, a new museum—the options are legion. Whatever new piece of public history you choose to propose, your proposal must include a detailed description of the project and address the following questions of vision and logistics in a clear, organized, and point-by-point manner

Making Your Pitch for Public History
Introduction
Public history is essential to educate the public about the past. It refers to a form of past events that take place outside the class (Cauvin, 2016). It includes oral history, monuments, preservation initiatives, exhibitions, museums, historical tours, performances and media, and a public-history app. I would propose a public-history app that contains past facts about fights against racism in the US. The app would include the prominent figures who began movements like the Civil War that changed the US forever, artifacts, and exhibitions representing each historical moment. The project begins with a proposal presented to the lecturer for approval and further directives. The team then visits the relevant offices for required permissions, funding, and pointers to begin the project. The programmers proceeded to build the back-end of the application as I and my partner museums, libraries, and exhibitions collected facts and relevant data for the project. After each phase, we visit the professor for corrections and recommendations before proceeding to the next phase. We then complete the project and present it to the relevant officials for approval. A public-history application would provide US citizens with a comprehensive information base about racism.
Vision
The project meets the classroom definition of public history because of various reasons. It is a task built outside academics because the data collectors, designers, and testers will work with external sources. Competent computer programmers will be needed to create a smartphone application during their free time. The history team will visit school libraries, public archives, and exhibition centers to get the developers required data and photographs for the application. They will also invest personal time explaining the historical images, documents, and artifacts in a more straightforward language to help the audience understand the origin and interpretation of the past. The,
The audience of this project is anyone who loves history and traveling to historical destinations. It will incorporate both the young and old community, given that both groups have passionate historians. Almost everyone can access the internet through smartphones, laptops, or iPad. Anyone seeking to know their next adventurous destination will access the public history app and choose their most preferential destination. Besides, the project will address the needs of historians and adventure lovers in that it will provide factual information from historical books and citations. The audience will enjoy learning history and view any existent exhibitions directing them to visit the locations for further discoveries. The project will help the community quickly access and learn historical facts.
The project is built on various precedents and past artifacts. It has various pictures and chronological facts about the accomplishments of past racial fighters of the US. Some of the accomplishments are linked to honorable members of society who made remarkable changes in US history. For example, Martin L...
