The Maslach Burnout Inventory is a valid and reliable instrument with good internal consistency and has been used to assess burnout and translated to be applicable in different language contexts. The MBI has a high Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (α=.70 to .90) for three subscales. However, there are concerns about the instrument’s reliability within some populations, such as pediatric oncology and especially for the depersonalization dimension (Mukherjee et al., 2019). Still, the lower internal of the depersonalization subscale may be linked to the smaller number of items making up the dimension. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient values ​​greater than .70 are considered acceptable.
